Card 2 Inside and out

Good Morning popping in to show you another card from the DSP from Stampin up. I have a lot  of Birthday's coming up so these cards will come in handy. There are quite a few cards that I want to post but this is my second favorite. I am really enjoying these new dies from Simon says Stamp of all the balloons. So many different sizes to choose from.

See ya tomorrow for another inside and out card.

Inside and out

Just wanted to add a quick card today.I have been trying to see how many cards I can make out of one piece of designer series paper. I got twelve different designs and still had a few pieces left over.  Hopefully I can fit in more time in for my blog and to get back to making cards.
I really like this pack of paper and I am surprised that it is retiring so soon. I have several cards that I will be posting this week so come back and take a look. Check out the first card inside and out most of the products used are from Stampin Up and Hero Arts.

I will post another card in this series tomorrow. See ya!

A walk in Dad's shoes

Well since I'm on a Copic kick here is another cute one. This one was a good one to practice different hair texture. Instead of coloring in circles or strokes I used little dots of color to create the texture. I started out with the lightest color first doing the whole head. Sometimes I do color the lightest color in small circles because it takes less time. I decide where my light source is coming from before I get started so I will know where to place my darkest colors. I never really stick with one color all the time I go back and forth to build the texture. The darkest color is usually around the hairline and back of the neck. He is so cute he reminds me of my nephew .

Penny Black stamp Father's Day

I can't believe it has been so long since I have posted to my blog. I have been stamping but I has not been as much as I wanted to. I have been practicing a lot with my Copic markers and learning how to blend the colors. I have found an artist that has digital and regular stamps and she does them in different ethnic groups which I love to work with. It give you a chance to work on all types of skin colors with one stamp. I noticed that I have started to see her designs over at one of my favorite stamp companies Penny Black.
Since Father's Day is around the corner I will start to post some of the designs that I have worked on that I think are so cute. This will give me a chance to use up a lot of the Stampin Up  designer paper that I have been hoarding not wanting to cut because it was too pretty. This paper is from a designer pack that was retired a long time ago called thoroughly modern.

I also used soft suede and crumb cake card stock by stampin up. I have a few more that I want to finish up and post. I am going to remember to write down the copic colors that I used so I can post those also so check back and let me know what you think. Have a great day!

My surprise

Good morning stampers. In my last post I said that I had a big surprise for today. Well Sunday Stamp, a blog that I have been following and posting to asked me to be a guest designer.Yey!!!  This is the first blog that has noticed my work so thanks for the opportunity.I had a lot of ideas that popped into my head and all of them were while I was somewhere else. When I got home and tried to work it out on paper they were gone. So now I have started keeping my sketch book with me. Here is the design challenge sketch and the card I came up with.
I used a new stamp set that I got from Stampin Up. I even tried make it a card using only stamping up but the die is from spellbinders. The card stock and ribbon are all Stampin Up. I have never order ribbon from Stampin Up so I thought since they were running a special I would try it out I think I might be hooked. Well that's all or now. I plan to do a card using some new products from Papertrey Ink later on today I will post what I come up with afterwards.
Have a Great Day
Lil
